8.0 meg gives you more clarity for larger prints. Depends on your needs. The larger mp will also eat up more storage, how large are your cards for each camera?
Check the reputation of the manufacturer if it's an off brand.

The 8.0 megapixel camera is ALOT better. Not only does it have much higher resolution but the size of the CCD sensor is much larger. A larger sensor means less noise in the photo.

If it's a HP.... Don't buy it. They make some great digital cameras but...... they have such a short battery life. Worst of all the top brand name models. Unless you like you camera spending more time on the charger, I suggest a diff camera.

I'd go with the 8.0 megapixel. I like my images detailed and to look their best. Good luck with you choice.
