I have two 12-year-old indoor cats and I was wondering what kind of life-span they might have. They seem to be in relatively good health, although not as active as they used to be, of course. They still run and jump and play.

I heard it was 15-20 years but there have been cats that have lived to be in the 20s. I just lost my cat a few days ago at the age of 16. Try not to stress on it. Just enjoy what time you have with your kitty.

10 to 20 years. some can live longer then 20, i know a 21 year old cat with FIV(his an indoor cat).

but between 10 to 20 depends on the quality of food, and how much exercise they get.

I had a cat that lived to be 18. She was mainly an indoor cat, but also liked to go outside occasionally and check things out. And she was healthy and happy until the end. My grandma also had a cat that lived to be 17 - same deal, mostly indoor, but liked to take a stroll outside occasionally.

It really depends. I lost my cat this past winter at age 11. He was an indoor cat since I got him when he was a kitten. He was very healthy and never acted sick. Then, he just died one day.
Anyway, I think 12 is a long life for a cat. You may be lucky to get another year or so but I would prepare yourself. Good luck!

about 18-21 years, if they don't have ANY health problems. unfortunatly, my kitty had a bladder disease that wasn't diagnosed by my vet and I had to put him to sleep the begining of this month. he was only 2. I HATE that stupid vet. I already changed vets for my other cat and dog and my new kitten. it just depends on the cat itself. but I think its around those years. your cats should have many healthy years to come. HIH! ^-^
