First of all, you need to be out meeting new people. If you can't be seen and met, then you can't be found. So find some hobbies or places to go that get you out often.
Secondly, you need to be friendly but not desperate. Mind you I'm a straight woman, but when I hear the same complaints from straight guys about why they can't get a woman, or from nice women that can't find a guy, the answer is the same - if you give off even a whiff of "I need a boyfriend" you will scare them OFF!
A smack of desperation is a huge turnoff as is what I call "puppy syndrome." Puppy syndrome is when someone likes another person so much, they are always around. They make it too easy. They sit by the phone waiting, they pick up the phone and call, often. They do anything the person they wants asks and put up with getting little in return.
They present no challenge and demonstrate in the process of lack of self confidence.
Anyone you allow into your life needs to earn it. The busier you are, the more THEY have to make an effort to fit into you life, the more attractive you become. Most people's (especially men) worst fear is someone clingy and smothering. If you don't have an independent life without this person, then you are going to depend on them far too much. This is just not attractive.
So you need to be strong, independent and interesting to be attractive AND you need to remain all of those things even if attached. It is an unfair burden to expect someone to be responsible for your happiness, so you need to get and stay interesting.
And lastly, take care of your physical appearance. If you need to drop a few pounds, do it. If you need to revamp your wardrobe do it. Men are very visual and you need to make a great first impression, as well as continue to be someone they are proud to be with. Make sure your home is tidy and clean too.
So...without knowing you personally, it is tough to pinpoint your specific issues, but if you are doing the above, you will find you attract more, and better quality prospects.
Happy Hunting!

Probably the same reason that there are so many other kind-hearted, loving people in the world that are not paired up--- The world is sometimes so busy and superficial that others do not see the qualities that make someone attractive, and it probably has nothing to do with you. And as cheesy as it sounds, it's just a matter of waiting-- go out and meet people, but stop "looking" and when you least expect it, the right person will come along and take you by surprise-- all "looking" does is make you desperate to find "that" person, and you end up going through strings of people that are wrong, in hopes of finding mr. right.
Good luck, and hang in there.

In the meantime try the personals. Yahoo, tangowire, are good ones and are for gays OR straights. MSN is a big money racket. You can read their profiles and find guys who are looking for nice guys like yourself. Maybe even right in your own area? Good Luck with the search. By the way, you can do a search on Yahoo personals without registering. See if there is anything interesting.

Depending on your place of residence, the number of gay men may be very small in number. If this is the case, you might have to get creative. Find out if the local homosexuals use a "secret-sign" to identify themselves, like a sponge bob air freshner hanging from the mirror.
Place an ad in your local paper looking for "bi-curios" males. Highlight certain keywords like "discreet" and "ongoing thing" in your ad. This might help you find a long-term companion.
If you happen to live in an area where the gay community is large in numbers, go out to known gay hangouts. The best way to meet people is to go out and socialize.
If all else fails, find the local "cruising" spot in your area like a rest-stop or scenic overlook. Public parks are often popular with gay men too.
Best of luck to you!

There could be several reasons why you're without a man in your life:
1) Personality generally is favorite reason. Sometimes people are drawn to assholes instead of the good guys.
2) Believe it or not it could be your race, religion, or political affiliation; or even economics
3) Possibly you've developed a reputation in town and no one wants to brother.
4) Lastly and sadly enough it could be your built as in stature and looks.
These are really superficial reasons and you shouldn't be taken by them personally. Try hanging out at places you like and have in common with others you; would like to be with.

It can be quite difficult for anyone, gay or straight, to find someone compatible for a relationship. Without knowing more about you, it would be hard to evaluate any behaviors or traits that may be interfering with your quest. The most immediate answer possible without additional information would be that you probably live in an area where it may be difficult to find a man for you.

Are you too nice? sometimes the niceness freaks people out if they are used to being crapped on by others. Dont worry, smile, make eye contact, listen and diversify your surroundings to meet new and cool people. sierra club or something. Do other guys know you are gay? Is the flirt meter high? good luck
