Some people faint at the sight of blood or in your case, dizzy. The less blood you have the weaker you feel. You'll feel rather tired after blood loss. The reason why, is because you're scared that he's taking too much blood from you. But...isn't a blood analysis, about a few drops of blood?

It's something psychological having to do with needles, blood, etc. I work with a big, strong, confident guy - who becomes totally unhinged (panic, fainting, etc.) whenever he gets a shot for any reason.
You didn't mention whether your dizziness is accompanied by anxiety before, during or after the procedure. If it's an anxiety thing I would suggest meditation and techniques for maintaining mental control of your thoughts before, during and after the procedure. If anxiety isn't involved, and you don't have to have blood drawn very often, I'd say just live with it. Inform the person taking the blood so that you can be in a laying down position, - and just accept without judgement that that's the way it goes.

Its probably just psychological. Maybe its just all in your head. The blood that is taken is only about 2 tablespoons. It looks like a lot, but its not enough for you to become dizzy. Id say its because your thinking that in your head. Next time, try not to stress out over it, and dont look at the needle or the vial of blood....they may help. Good luck.

Because you're afraid and work yourself up into a state of anxiety. Don't think of it; don't look at the blood and ask for a glass of orange juice after they take it. Stop being a baby!

Well either he's taking too much blood or you just can't handle the sight of it. Try to keep calm and don't look when he takes the blood.
