I'm looking for a used Suzuki Swift (year 2005) in the UK. It has to be 1.3, 5dr manual in either red or blue. I suppose that suzuki dealers will have the main offers, but I wanted to know if there were better deals out there? I just cannot find them, I have looked everywhere. Help!

Thanks, but I have looked at other cars and the suzuki is the one I really want. The smart car is way too small. I have already looked on the websites you lot have offered.

The car I have now, is 12 years old, its a basic 1.0 model and it is almost falling apart. I chose the suzuki as its the one I felt most comfortable driving (I have driven almost every small car), nice interior, nice size and shape. I'm def set on suzuki swift.

best buy from the dealers, they will have the best choice apart from the big car supermarkets.

The Swift is very new, and its not a car that sells to fleets (unlike a Vectra). That means there aren't many second hand ones for sale - most private buyers keep their cars for longer than the latest Swift has been around. Suzuki dealers are probably your best bet.
If you find one somewhere else, ask yourself why its not at a Suzuki dealer.

Try http://www.carsource.co.uk/ , set to national search. It also has lots of good links to car supermarkets.
It has a very good search facility - which unfortunately does not have anything matching ALL your requirements. There was a 1.5 if you can afford the insurance, and loads of VERY low mileage 06 models at £9000 plus.
In response to people's comments on the car, please be aware that the model sold from 1992 - 2003/4 is very different to the current one. The old one was perfectly adequate as transport, one of the cheapest cars on the market, and terribly dated. The new 2005 one is pricey, classy and completely up to date and comes well recommended in the press.

Before committing to one particular model, you should take some time to investigate what else is out there. There are Honda, Nissan and Volks wagan models which can be good if not better comparitive models to what your looking at !Some will offer better durability, others better fuel mileage. Some of these models also offer a diesel engine which is better suited to long distance driving,
and if your looking at small and compact there is a vehicle called the " smart car" made by Mercedes, the last I heard it was about 13,000 canadian dollars,

well suzuki swift is almost identical to Chevy Sprint, Geo Metro, Pontiac Firefly, Ford Festiva.. if you looked around for any of the above, you might get lucky.

Try the two listed webb pages below - you can give your preference of year - colour -size of engine - milage. They will search local availability - you compare prices, look for discounts on nearly new car's.
Hope you get your perfect car sorted.

Really good choice! My husband had one for his driving school and then passed it on to me and when he passes his test my son will have it. Its done nearly 200,000 miles and has only needed three clutches. Good luck looking - I think they are so reliable people just hang on to them!

Forget it. Buy a secondhand bicycle instead.
