What good is making something for us to "awe" at if it only looks like a tiny fuzzy blip, when in fact it is an amazing sight to withhold only if you could see it up close? We can't even see most of them? What is the point to have such a vast universe if absolutely no one is inhabiting it but us? And furthermore, how do you know this for sure? Where does it biblically substantiate this point of view that although their are BILLIONS of galaxies and star systems, we are the ONLY one with life?

Why would God give me billions of dollars when it's obvious I won't ever see them all? To me there's no more awe-inspiring sight than that of a crisp new dollar note...

If we're the only life forms in the whole universe, God must have been really really bored to make so many stars and galaxies.

I think that the universe is absolutly amazing and stunning and your right.. it does seem to go on forever...

I think that fact that we cant see it all shows us that God is so huge that he could create all of the billions of lightyears and galaxies. It really puts us in our place, that we are nothing and so tiny compared to God..

So i kinda think its just there to remind us of the unsearchable riches and hugeness of God

Some things are not meant to be understood.
Going out on a limb here, but why spoil all the fun at once? Shouldn't we be grateful God gives us things to aspire to?

We would need eyes the size of windmills to see all the galaxies!

I don't think there is any reason to believe that we are the only people in the universe.
