Have you gone to a dermatologist? They specialise in diseases of the skin. Maybe you need a different medication than tetracycline. Have you asked your doctor about going on birth control? That will sometimes help reduce breakouts because it changes the hormone levels in your body. To reduce the appearance of the scars there are a few over the counter medications you can use. However, I caution you using those medications until you get your acne under control as those medications may agravate your acne. The only other way to get rid of the scars it to have a chemical peel or microdermabrasion which has to be done by a plastic surgeon and wouldnt be covered by insurance. They do sell microdermabrasin kits at wal-mart. (loreal makes one) That may also reduce your scars as well.
I feel your pain. I used to get breakouts alot on my back too. One thing I found that helped me was not drinking diet sodas. That seems to increase the acne.

Also. Try not to pick at it....it will only give you more scars.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about the scars. If the medicine the doctor has given you is not working for the acne, let your doctor know. Have you tried Proactiv?

proactiv has a skin lightening lotion that dramatically reduces the redness of the scars, but you usually get scars from picking them, which you will have to stop doing.

they also have a body care line, its not just for the face, and it works really well. if you have sensitive skin, they also have a line for that.

id check it out.

also the dermotologist will give you antibiotics that kill the bacteria which causes more pimples to appear.

The sun is actually very good for your skin in the right amounts. Getting some sun will help with the acne.

Talk to your doctor and try new meds. I had good results with Sulfacet-R.

It's just your hormones. Sorry. Keep up the good habits and it will go away eventually.

ok first of all..u didnt get acne cuz u popped one pimple. go to the dermo and get meds for ur body, not ur face. theyll give u a special cleanser probably. or u could try a laser treatment.

itll go away eventually
