A few more details, please. Do you pay off your balance in full every month? If so, you may want to get a Chase Rewards card. If you don't, your options narrow down immensely. A good place to look would be in a current issue of Money Magazine. Every month, they have a list of the best credit cards for people who carry balances and for people who don't.

I agree with the other posters, though. Beware of credit in general. Misuse of it can lead to nightmares of epic proportions.

Credit cards are the worst form of money. You know you have the power to spend/purchase even when you dont have cash. But at the end of the bargain you end up losing more than you wouldv'e have actually spent in the first place. If you want one, you can keep one but make sure its used only in desparate situations.

I like my Visa Credit Card from Providian. I got a good APR but that of course depends on your credit score. I also get my Credit Score From Transunion every month and for like 12 dollars I get my full quarterly report so I can keep track of my credit profile.

It also provides you with online account management. So you can go completely paperless and you can keep track of how much you've spent. It also gives you email alerts so you wont go late on your payments.

Go to Creditland.com or Bankrate.com or Credit.com. These sites have lists of all types of credit grantors and they also have rating for each type of credit card based on terms and credit type. Hope this helps.

Good Luck

I use Chase mastercard. I've had it for a few years and I like it. I originally got it as a student. I pay it off every month.
