Advantage only repels fleas. Frontline repels fleas and ticks. Advantix repels fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes (for 7 days).

Advantage and Advantix are made by the same company and Advantix use ingredients that affect the nervous system.

Frontline does not use ingredients that affect your dog's nervous system. It uses sweat and oil glands on the surface.

I highly recommend Frontline.

Healthier dogs and dogs on raw diets also tend to have fewer flea problems. So, if you don't want to use drugs, there are homeopathic ways to keep fleas at bay. Just do some research.

Front line is more expensive but you will find it is well worth the extra you pay. I live in rural Spain and there are lots of ticks and fleas but without frontline I dont know what I would do,
Advantage is good for fleas but not for ticks,
I hope this helps you

Per dose, it is more expensive. However, it also repels a larger variety of parasites and lasts longer. And according to my mother (who has a LOT of outside dogs) it is more effective. So in the long run, the Frontline pays for itself more than 2 doses of Advantix.

Frontine -- but just as the saying goes "you get what you pay for." You want something that REALLY works, then you may have to fork out a little more money.
