I never had nightmares about it, but I do have daymares...I know that's not a word. Sometimes I drive around and look at the nastiness of what she caused and get tears in my eyes. I will never forget the images I saw of the debris. I will never forget the smells of the dead people. I will never forget walking on top of roofs and glass doors and all the weird things we found in the debris. I will forever hold the images in my mind. I will forever be grateful to the people who came to our rescue and I will forever ask God to be with the people who had the most damage, especially losing loved ones.

I have preminetions that the efforts right after Katrina might happen again. With the government and the military so focus on the middle east and abroad, it wouldn't surprise me that another "Katrina" aftermath will happen again.
But Good luck to the government for keeping us "safe"

i have nightmares of all the people who spread out cause of it...spending tax money on stuff they didn't need...

The apartment complex i used to live at in Indianapolis let 56 family's live there....within weeks the place was trashed, my "new" neighbor that lived upstairs from me ended up selling drugs out of his apartment, and ended up have no front door...a family that also moved into the complex killed there 5 yr old son... if i have to hear about how sorry people are about Katrina, i am going to freak out! I don't feel a bit of sympathy for those people

Yes...post traumatic stress actually. My husband and I floated on an ice chest for 6.5 hours in the waters of Katrina in Waveland, Mississippi. I can tell you it was one of the most traumatic experiences of our lives. One I would never want to repeat.
