I haven't got a copy of the C.C.C. but I imagine if this sawed off shotgun was used in a major crime then the sentence would be far more serious then if you were only busted with possession of this weapon. And if it's not registered (as per Canadian gun legislation then sentence may also be bigger.
Reality says though that if you have a good lawyer, and do not have a criminal record at your age that you'll probably receive some sort of fine.
