My daughter is about 2 years old. She is getting education by quality nursery. It is becoming of notice that she is really smarter than her peers who are even older. This is acknowledged through counting from 1-10, Singing songs, and animal recognition, etc..How to build on this?

I thank you for your answers and I really understand the advises and I do not want to measure IQ literally, but to know if this issue can be traced at this early stage

First, get a grip on the situation. She MAY be brilliant and a fast learner, but she may also be an average child stimulated to learn. In either case she is doing well. Build on it all by conferring with her teacher who will help guide you in this endeavor. Above all, do NOT become one of those doting parents who think they have given birth to the next wonder of the world. Be even tempered and work with her to develop her strengths. She will take over and do the job.

Good luck!!

Don't worry about IQ. It is not recognized as a meaningful measure of one's intelligence. It sounds like you are running the risk of pushing your daughter. She is MUCH too young to be pushed and evaluated. Let her go at her own apce. It sounds like she is doing so already, and is doing fine, so let her follow her own interests. she may just be an early bloomer and the other kids may catch up to her in a few years.
