To grow healthy long hair, can you take prenatal vitamins? Can you buy those over the counter? Do they have side effects to them?

prenatal is the best if you can get them, if not your Dr. will give you a script for them if you tell him you want them for a year to grow out your hair and nails to a healthier state. I suggest you ask for Stuart's Prenatal. They have some over the counter (too pricey), but if you get a script, they will be more potent and you can use your co-pay

lots of advantages and reasons to taking the prenatal, but, one drawback to keep in mind, there is something they put into the prenatal that make you hungry so some people will frown on taking them

since I no longer have a health ins. plan that approves scripts for vitamins I've been on Centrum and sometimes WalMart Brand, they both work well and have kept my hair nice and thick and my nails strong, my hair is colored on a regular basis so I know that it's the vitamins that keep it growing fast and healthy and I only get it trimmed three times a year, I have very little damage to the ends
brush your hair 100 strokes just like the old fashioned wives tales say to do because it works, getting the natural oils from your scalp to the tips of your hair is one of the best things you can do for it, invest in a good brush, 100 strokes sounds like a lot of time but fifty on each side (sing a song, say a prayer, talk on speaker phone) goes by quick enough, better yet, it's so nice when someone else brushes your hair (have this done, even if you have to pay or bribe them, it's so worth it).

Prenatal vitamins may increase hair growth and nail growth but can be dangerous. Excessive vitamins and minerals can cause many problems. If your not pregnant, do not take prenatal vitamins, unless a medical doctor has prescribed them for a certain condition. The best thing is eat healthy. Drink water. Keep your hair clean and conditioned. Avoid sun and, heat, and over-washing. Avoid chemicals, such as, dyes, bleaching, permanent waving, etc.keep your hair trimmed monthly. Take no more than a regular multivitamin with mineral. Be sure to eat your daily requirement of protein.

Just buy over the counter hair, skin and nails vitamins by oil of olay or somethink like that. Watch your consumtion of pre-natal vitamins, they have extra doses of folic acid and vitamin a, that with time can lead to liver damage! Side effects are rare with vitamins, they just make you feel overall healthier, with my experience anyway! Talk to your doctor!!

The best vitamin to take strictly for hair is GNC ULTRANOURISH HAIR PILLS. They are reasonably priced and have wonderful results. You should see results within a month of use. If you dont believe me go to www.drugstore.com do a search on the GNC ULTRANOURISH then read the customer reviews.

Im sure you wont be dissappointed.

You don't need prenatals, just take a regular daily multi-vitamin and eat a balanced diet. Drink plenty of water.

Keep dead ends trimmed.

I have really healthy long hair.

I don't take vitamins, I just eat reasonably well. I don't blow dry and I try not to put it up in a pony tail very often.

I consider it is dependent upon the individual and the way they seem with distinct cuts. Personally I'm no longer keen on the fairly quick pixie cuts however instead of that I bet it fairly is dependent upon who you're what kind of face you've gotten (oval, rectangular ect.) and your age. I imply a granny casn't pull off a Rhianna coiffure.
