Those do allow the baby to jump up and down. Most kids I've seen like them as long as they're not left in in too long.

I got my sister a jumperoo for her baby & she loves it. It is better then the one over the door because the ones over the door can come off of it or break. Also in order to attach it to a door you must have a door to use. WIth the jumperoo you don't need a door , you can put it any where. Also the jumperoo has little toys that are attached to it that the baby can play with.

I tried a jolly jumper(the one that goes in the door frame), my older son at the time didn't like it. I tried the actual jumperoo(made by Fischer-Price, and is the size and set up of a normal swing) and I started my son at 6 months, and he loves it, he is now 7 months. Just make sure he/she can hold his/her head up pretty good and he/she will be fine. I am planning on taking him out at 9 months so that he can learn to stand on his own and walk while holding on to something. Good Luck!!!

OH MY GOD! LOL My son use to love that thing! We called it a johnny jump up! It hooks to the frame above the door! He would bounce and play in that thing for yours! He would get himself swinging back and forth pretty good too!!!! I started putting him in it around 6 months- as long as they have pretty good head control they should be okay in it. Observe him the first few times to make sure he does have good head and neck control. This will bring you MANY quiet moments to get your stuff done as well as a great time for the baby! BEST INVENTION EVER!

My doctor had no qualms about our using a Jumperoo for our son. He is 9 months now and loves it!

We have one (the swing type) for our little one and she loves it. We also love watching her in it. She was scared the first time we put her in but we took it slowly and didn't force anything. I'd recommend the swing type. I just don't trust the frames around doors to hold up. Either way hopefully he'll have a blast.

My son loved that thing! We had the free standing one made by Fisher-Price. The best thing we bought for him. We could move it from room to room and it played music when he jumped. We started him in it at around 5 months and he outgrew it when he started cruising at around 10 months. Much better than the ones that are installed to the doorway, IMO.
Good luck!

Yes it a great way for exercise for your boy. I use the Johnny Jump Up, it hads a dish on it, that hold teething rings and small toys.

It would help them to understand that they need to put pressure on their feet in order to stand but apart from that they have no use what so ever.

Why not get one of those little cars that your baby can walk around in but they are strapped in tightly & they won't get dizzy?

It's lik those see through balls for hamsters - fine for short periods but any longer & they go mad.

Good luck :-)

That depends, can he sit up fairly well? If he can then by all mean get him one. There are great! You will be able to get a lot done around the house. Plus, he is able to play by himself and still be able to see you.
