I don't know exactly where you live, but there is an ad in my local paper for free kittens - I don't know if this is a cell # or not:

330-727-4030

The ad is in the Morning Journal out of Columbiana County.

a co-worker of mine has a pregnant cat who will be having kittens soon. She lives in Cambridge Springs, PA (northwestern PA just south of Erie). If it's not too far for you to travel I'm sure she'd be happy to give you a kitten.

Try a farm. Farm cats multiply like rabbits and their life expectancy is only 1 year! I'm sure a farmer would be more than happy to have you take one off his hands. Just make sure it's young enough that it's not wild.

Look in the newspaper ads for free kittens, vet's offices, or with people that you know that have cats.

what comes easy goes easy.
that's what i learned.

at your local shelter there will alot of cats looking for a good home. priced aren't high and usually the money goes for low cost spays and vaccinations and what left goes to the shelter to help it keep running.
here's a link to some animal shelter in ohio:

by getting a cat at an animal shelter you save life and are teaching home breeders that it doesn't pay off to not spay your cat.

please ck this site for rescue foundations for cats and dogs in your area.. if they can't they could give you information where you can find a free kitten. As its a rescue foundation they operate on donations but will also gift you with the desired pet.

Hope this helps and I wish your happiness with your new pet.
