Can I be too much of a gentleman?

Well, my opinion is if you are toooo nice it comes off as eager, nerdy, and needy. Being a gentleman is nice with opening doors and that sort of thing, but if you are waiting with some goofy look on your face to jump at the opportunity to be helpful then I wouldn't want to go out with you too much. Women like a gentleman, but sort of a rebel too. Tough guy with some manners is best. Hope this helps.

Well you do have to stand up for yourself once in a while. There is nothing wrong with being a gentleman but don't go to the extent that your getting taken advantage of. Just friendly gestures and opening doors and giving a helping hand is fine. Don't go out and pay their bills and give them things when you don't even know them. That isn't being a gentle man that is being gullable and weak. And there are people out there that will eat you for dinner with that personality

Being a gentleman is wonderful, don't change that, but remember to have boundaries: principles that you absolutely WILL NOT compromise on. And make sure everyone around you knows what your boundaries are. Remember the saying: "if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." Once you've sorted out what you're willing to live with and what you will not tolerate, your life should be easier.

Been there, done that. Society and certain women have a problem with guys who want to respect others and not be a jerk all the time. Don't stop being a gentleman. It still gets it's rewards in the end.

i'm sorry that, that happens to you. maybe you are picking the wrong girls. I think being a gentleman is great and i don't know if you could be to much of one. I think that it is the girls that you may be going after find a similarity between all the girls and i bet you will find a couple. Change what kind ladies you look for. It's not a matter of male or female. Women get crapped on too when they make themselves too vunerable. (I know). But no matter how much you like a girl - you have to keep a little mystery. You have to play a little hard to get. I've learned that if you throw it all out there on a platter, then the scavengers will swoop down clear it out and take off! And for pete's sake when you catch on that they are playing you.... Speak up! Call them on it. Let them know "I'm not a door mat and I deserve better than you!"

There's being who you are and pretending to be what you think a girl would like you to be.
If a gentleman is who you really are then stay that way.
Don't change because you are meeting the girls who don't appreciate you. In this world, there aren't enough guys like you. You are one of a handful so please DONOT CHANGE. And yes you will meet many more of those kind of girls but in time if God allows it, you'll find your match.

You can't be too much of a gentleman, but gentleman doesn't equal to wuss. Gentleman open car doors, respect and is willing to protect women. Wuss let women walks all over them, can't make decision, and wants the women to protect him. You can never be too much of a gentleman, but sometimes it's easy to step over the line be become a wuss.

No. Thats like asking can women be too lady like? Never. You just have to learn to be a better judge of character. There aremillions of women that are looking for a man like you.
