Don't, leave him alone. Don't rush anything because it will throw off his balance. Sit him up in a high chair, his swing or other nautrally sitting positions, to help build muscles, but always watch him and don't force it. I wanted my son to crawl so I placed him on a blanket on the floor and toys out of reach so he'd have to move to get him. I'm not sure how to work out a similar model for sitting, but give him time.

I've been having this same question myself. I've been sitting my daughter between my legs (started at 5 months and she's now 6 months) and letting her sit up with my support. When she was 5 1/2 months old I was playing on the floor with her and she just started sitting up by herself and playing. Now she's a pro! Haven't got her to crawl yet cause she HATES being on her stomach or her back. I definetly think my baby will learn to walk before she crawls.

You dont really want to help him! It is a mildstone that every baby has to reach on their own. You can give them a bobby pillow for support or prop them with a pillow. But as far as turning over and sitting crawling walking! The baby will do that when he is ready.
Also boys are slower than girls. And do not judge your kid by anyone elses kid. Every baby moves at their own speed. Be patient with your son and encourage floor time with him and he will all the sudden start moving!
My son never crawled he went right to walking on his first b-day. So it is ok some kids are just not ready!
Dont worri he will be fine and he will start moving!

Well when my niece was born my mom says to put a pillow behind the baby in a sitting position as to balance it. And if you continue to do that it will learn on its own without having the pillow behind it for support. to crawl put it on the floor. You can't really force that.

tummy time! Tummy time is the key to crawling and sitting up.
Also, a boppy is useful for wedging a toad butt into, there are also things called bumbles, that securely hold a pre-sitting stage baby while it gains the muscle needed to sit upright on its own.
Playing with your baby, and helping him pull himself into a sitting position is also helpful. Just encourage him to engage his body whenever he seems so inclined. He will naturally want to sit on his on at some point so he can better interact with his world.

To learn to sit up get one of those Boby Pillows and sit him up against something so he doesn't fall back ward and put stuff on the side of him so he doesn'r fall side ways. Or try and big doungnut and place him inside and put pillows on the side of him to secure him so he doesn't fall. To have him Crawl the only way is for him to have tummy time or lay down on his stomach. put toys in front of him so he has to reach for them.

Hi, You can lay him on his stomach during the day for his exercise, after a while he will build enough strength to push his self up, then pick his self up and eventually crawl. Babies are fun while little, they get big so quick, GL!!

i'm a common time mom too, and that i had the comparable question whilst my little guy exchange into smaller. I in basic terms did tummy time with him, which will improve his lower back muscular tissues. i've got self assurance he exchange into approximately 4 or 5 months whilst he sat up for the time of himself for the 1st time. this is wonderful what they learn all on their own! Oh, and that i've got been given him a Bebe Pod (equivalent to Bumbo seats) and it helps them take a seat up whilst they are no longer stable sufficient to do it on their own, yet i does no longer placed your infant in there till around 4 months. this is whilst we've been given the main use out of ours. in the previous that, he in basic terms toppled to the part.
