Did you hear about the elderly woman who came home from her old Jewish doctor sobbing? She sadly told her husband that the doctor said she had tuberculosis. Her husband, wanting more info, went back to talk to the doctor himself.
He came home and told her "No, honey, you misunderstood! He said you have too big a tokas!!"
(tokas a yiddish word for hind end).

not harmful. It can describe inanimate objects (like tumors), or people. " Bob's intentions toward Bill were benign" (this means that Bob means to do Bill no harm)

i always thought that it meant good, harmless, showing kindness, stuff like that.
As in benign teacher, or benign tumor, etc.

benign means that something is gentle or mild. In medicine it means that it is not malignant.
