We have had a walker and exasaucer and "jonny jumpup" Loved them all ..
I would suggest getting a walker ... they are more portable ... they can fold up and become "playpens" when your baby is 9 mo + and you are at a friend or relitives house that is not baby friendly.
They also work great as on the go or around the house highchairs. ( one with a removeable playstructer that clicks on to the tray makes them great !)
A jonny jump up ( hangs from a door jamp with bungie cord) Is great for at home and all of my kids loved it and all walked at diff times... it depends more on the kids and less on what they play in...( they also loved to nap in it)
As for the exasaucer... they take up alot of room.. they dont fold up and unless you have a place not only for it to live in the house but a place to store it when its done being played with I would suggest the other 2......
There is also a jonny jump up type of "swing" is like a swings frame but with the jummy hanging off it instead of the chair. I thought about getting this but the room we are in alot didnt really allow the space... but it did break down for storage. (only Kmart carried it here)
Hope this helps !

I picked the jumper and the exasaucer that actually let's the baby move around (even if only in a cirlce) to help start walking. My child isn't born yet and my first son (who is 12 now) actually had a walker not an exasaucer, and a jumper on the door jam, neither one is made any more, (apparently they are life threatening) but he loved both.

My son just turned 6 months, I had him in Johnny jump up when he was pushing 6 months.I made sure to put it closer to the floor, so he would not have to put alot of weight on his tiny legs. He really enjoys this. whatever room i go to, he can still see me.

I was told to avoid them and let the child's muscles and coordination develop naturally. So far so good. My son is two and a half and has great balance, strength, and flexibility.

All three of my kids had an exersaucer and they loved them. They are all good, it really works to give them back and leg strength, and you don't have to worry like with walkers, cause they don't have wheels
