I am taking advantage of a week long trip to Istanbul to also look for any apartments I may be able to afford as a College student there. I hope to stay next year anywhere from 6-9 months. Does anyone know the name of some nice apartments i can check out?

these are the biggest and the most reliable real estate companies of Turkey which has many spots in İstanbul.
All you need to do is booking your room in a hotel for couple of weeks in İstanbul and then get in contact with these two companies by the help of a Turkish person who'll probably help you find the nearest spot.

There are nice studio apartments in Atakoy, Istanbul. It is very nice and green area with modern buildings. There also a big shopping center very close with a big supermarket and fast food in. The most of the studio apartments have the basic furniture like TV, washing machine, bed, coach etc. The rent is around 650 to 800 USD per month. There are some other areas with more reasonable price. On the other hand Istanbul is a very big city and if you can give me a specific area, I can be more helpful and can be close to your college too. I also can check with real estate offices or even supply you some telephone numbers of them.
