No, but they should tell them how to get them and the benefits they have. It's great to have an open relationship with your children because that way they will be able to talk to you about anything. Planned Parenthood always offers free condoms to anyone that needs them and of course any gas station and drug store has them. Your teen should be responsible enough to go get their own Condoms, otherwise they're not responsible enough for sex. Don't forget to tell you teens about birth control. A parent paying for birth control is a good idea because it also helps teens with their acne, periods, and more. Providing condoms may say "Yes, please go have sex." I got pregnant on Birth Control the first time and the second time with Condoms (thank God I was married). So there is always a chance. It is a great idea to always educate your children

With the threat of so many sexually transmitted diseases out there, I think giving your children condoms is a great idea. But you should also educate them on safe sex, and sex in general. Forewarned is forarmed. The more they know, the less you should have to worry. Abstinence isn't common among the younger generation even if we want to fool ourselves that it is.
Would you want to be the parent of a 14 year old girl who comes home pregnant with an STD on top of it? Probably not. Remember girls need be responsible for themselves as well. They should carry condoms as well. Better to be safe and educated then sorry and diseased or pregnant.

I have a 15 year old son and if he asked me to buy him condoms YES I WOULD! Without hesitation I would go ASAP and get him a huge ol box of condoms! Teenagers are going to have sex no matter what we say or do- so My opinion is LETS KEEP THEM SAFE while they r doing it anyway! If noone will sell them condoms- then they will have unprotected sex! NO THANK U! Any teen who is reponasible enough to buy condoms should be allowed to buy them BUT as a parent I would definetely buy them for my son without any speaches at all!

Absolutely. If you spend five minutes on Yahoo! Answers Pregnancy/Parenting, you can see how necissary it is. There are countless 13 year olds on here about every second asking whether or not she is pregnant. It terrifies me.

They are going to have sex, unfortunatly. And that's a whole 'nuther discussion. So if they are going to do it, they MUST have protection. It's unfortunate, yes. But what's more important?

Sure put that floosie daughter of theirs on some sort of birth control, and that lazy son, that does nothing around the home, but eat, drink, and use too much water for showers. Heck just give em the money to buy their own stuff( no wait, make em get out and work for what they want)

A condom is cheaper than a kid or treating for STDs. Giving them a whole box at once sounds like a good idea, if they feel that they will need your permission, they might not do that and have unprotected sex.

Yes, you should give give them a box of condoms, unless you want to be a grandpa and paying for all the things for the baby.

I'd say yes. It's better to give them a condom and explain safe sex rather than not and have them come home pregnant or having gotten someone pregnant.

I think it depends on the child and the relationship the parents have with the child. I think as long as you explain that you are not
condoning the behavior, but if the child is going to go ahead and have sex, you want them protected.

if the parents know that the kid is going to do it wheather they want them to or not i would think so yes, so at least they will use them and not get knocked up or have to pay child support for 18 years. but if the child isnt thinking about it at all then no do not supply them it will only tempt them into doing it, when they arent ready.
