That is my belief and I'm sticking to it. Same thing with fast food, get a big cheesy burger, but get a Diet Coke with it and there'll be now worries!!!

Any cut in calories is a help, but only if it's a drastic change. Do you drink high calorie soda everyday? If so, it should make a little bit of difference, anyway. I know that water and rice cakes just doesn't cut it when you're used to something sweet, so if you have to eat a candy bar, try eating just half of it. And the important thing is to savor each bite. Don't wolf it down so that you've inhaled the calories before having the chance to satisfy the craving.
*Tip*
If you like sweet things like ice cream or milkshakes, try replacing your soda with a low-fat fruit smoothie. They're delicious and refreshing, and since they're so sweet, you may not even miss your candy!
Good luck!

Just as long as the candy bar is a protein bar or a fruit bar..otherwise No...Drinking Diet Pop wont help either..there is still plenty of sodium in it.. ur best bet is to just go w/water for a while and skip the candy all together...snack on fruits and veggies instead...

One would think so. But, to be on the safe side, better than diet pop, which has dangerous chemicals from the artificial sweetener, drink bottled water instead. And a rice cake instead of the candy bar. Get out and walk somewhere.

Sure as long as you run across the football field 3 times. Then you will not have to worry about the candy bar & calories because you would have already lost the weight. LOL>

Actually saw a guy at Costco the other day and he had a big package of ham and a loaf of bread with a diet coke.
He had almost eaten them both.
I just had to say something and asked him if that was like a pound of ham...he said no it was five pounds.
I said well that diet coke will save you a couple of calories

Of COURSE it does!! Why do you think Diet Coke is so popular? Ever seen a fat person drinking it? No, I didn't think so!!!
So get scarfing those candies down, wash it down with Diet Coke and check the scales in a month or two.
If you haven't lost weight by then - SUE Diet Coke company......

I do the same thing. No it doesn't cancel each other out. You still have the calories from the chocolate!
I wish that worked.
