Looking to hear from moms and dads who both work full time and have three kids. Does having the third one really make that big a difference as far as finances, daycare situations, your level of shot nerves, lol.

I forgot to add that the two kids in question are both toddlers, so I'm asking about adding a newborn to the mix when I already have two toddlers. Thanks!

o.k. just try to visualize this. You have a newborn waking up at all odd hours of the night. You have two toddlers which may or may not have a regular sleeping pattern. Imagine trying to lull the baby to sleep while the toddlers have grown tired of Elmo and decide to climb on things, get into cupboards... etc. Since neither of them are old enough to "lend a hand" with the baby- depending on how strong of a support your spouse is.. it may be difficult. But heaven knows it's been done a thousand times.

Having one was huge change in life style.

The second really made it difficult to move with out a plan. and there were two kids wanting your attention.

The third was not easier than two but wasn't tha much harder either! The older ones would help out and baby got attention from you and the her other siblings.

I work out of the House so at times it was easier and other times harder than if I worked at an office and had day care. The third often was entertained by the older ones though.

When they get older, having a third child means there is a third set of sports school, scouts, etc. And that can be hectic - but fun!

As for finance - I never worried about it. I knew would always make ends meet some how. And we when we started out we couldn't pay for college for one so that didn't matter.

I am a single mom with a 4 year old, 5 year old, and 8 month old. I thought having another would be hard but it really isn't. It is actually easier than having just the two kids that are 14 months apart. My older boys are able to help me a great deal with my baby girl. When my boys were younger I had no help. As far as finances, the biggest expense is formula and diapers so if you can breastfeed you are good to go because diapers won't cut too much into your finances. I must admit that my level of patience with the third child is very very low. I have gotten used to my older boys taking care of themselves so you have to readjust to this new baby that needs you for everything. Other than that things are ok!

Sure, why not have 1 child a year. Seen a program on t.v. the other night. This family had a total of 18 kids, the oldest was 18 and this woman was giving birth to another child. She had help from all the kids she had in helping out with the younger children.
