That's just your opinion, and your opinion is not very educated and really doesn't matter to me.

"written by the same kind of sexist men that live in afgahnistan."
Which men in Afghanistan? Are you being prejudiced? Are you trying to say that all men in Afghanistan are the same? Aren't you being sexist with that statement? What a really slow assumption.
"why do you believe the book"
No ones written a better one to describe Jesus. You seem very capable! Why don't you write one?

It seems as if this same question occupies the minds of everyone not just those that do not believe in God. But to answer the first portion of this semi question. The Bible is not sexist. I didn't know that women being rulers of nations and men being told that they should love their wife as Christ loves the church, is sexist. That means that a man should love her with all of who he is, take care of her with all that he has, and be willing to die for her.
To now answer the question. We believe that the Holy Bible was the written by those under the direction of the living God. We believe it to be truth, and life. I hope that this answers your question. I pray that God Bless you and keep you.

No, it wasn't.
The Bible was written by God through the means of men.
If sexist men had written a bible, the OT would have encouraged free sex with everything, the NT would be about the birth of beer and Revelations about women.

What we call 'sexist' in modern society was just called -- well, everyday life a couple thousand years ago. You can't transfer our modern conceptions of what's right and wrong to people who lived thousands of years ago - just not fair to judge them by our standards. And even if you do find them morally unacceptable, does it necessarily follow that what they wrote/created is untrue or of no value? The founding fathers of our country were womanizers, slave owners, alcoholics, etc., but that doesn't mean the Constitution they left behind is worthless or a lie.
I'm not trying to convince you to believe the Bible - that's a personal decision. But, using your logic, we'd have to stop believing in or enjoying hundreds of different things our culture has produced over the years, from art to literature, to scientific discovery, not just the Bible

For most, belief came before investigation. Many are really just not aware of whats written in the bible. The ones that actually do read it, now have to justify it with, "we don't use the old testament anymore", "it's a metaphor", "they interpreted it wrong", "who are we to judge gods words", "God works in mysterious ways" etc....
Most of the Christians I know believe for one reason, they want to see their loved ones again in the afterlife. And they hang on to that wish with all their hearts. So I don't find that most agree with the bible, they just want their share of the immortality, and many need to believe this to be happy.

You're thinking of Paul. He was quite sexist. Thank God we don't have to take all his words literally... He even explained that most of his teachings were just his opinion.
Jesus wasn't sexist however, he loved Mary Magdelen.
Thats quite a blatent and unsupported comment.... I honestly don't get your point.

I you say, Sexiest the word will equal the root of sex, though there is a word, that signified and it means something else, for Humans and Human beings, to accept practice and become to allow their self to pursue perfection by been Humans to God and the Bible standards. something more between been physical and pursue the perfection of a physicality that become prior and more important to sex, a/o sexiest a/o sexist, as you said. That word is Sensuality, which by all means is necessary to know, knowledge. learn. grow and practice with, before you should get to know the true importance of been sexist, and or a clean and sexual individual responsible for the practice of such Godly gift, of reproduction for Humans.and the Human beings. God isn't that simple, wisdom and knowledge wasn't invented by man but by God, HIM-self. and isn't just sex, but first sensuality, which is a mixt of good senses, sensitivity, and true perfection within the phisical image with which we were create.

Thats a complete and total lie, where the heck did you hear that from? first of all, it was written by forty different authors, not just one, and i believe it because when i study it, and deeply reasearch it, it always stands true, and there is no way to disprove it, and it has changed lives and always will
