ive heard more about the gl2 so ill say that. also id spend more about what your gonna put in the film than what you use to film it. i mean a good camera is great, but dont forget about the other elements that make a film great. hope this helps!

it really depends on your budget. The GL2 is cheaper with a lower quality cause your recording to DV. The JVC is more expensive but with a way higher quality cause its shot in HDV.

If your looking to make cinematic quality short films. My suggestion would be to take a look at the JVC. Its HighDef quality will give you that close look to film.

if you want cinematic quality short films, between those two cameras you should choose the JVC GR-HD1. Before your purchase be sure that your camera will be compatible with your editing system (make sure you will be able to get the footage into your computer).
