One of the goals of nanotechnology is the manipulation of matter at a scale that would allow us to repair any sort of damage to our cells and our bodies. If this were possible, then in theory we could live forever.
But nanomachines in our bodies would need to be coated with proteins that our immune systems would not attack. Otherwise our bodies would try to destroy the nanomachines.

DON'T THINK SO WE WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE ALL OF OUR MAJOR ORGANS AND WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO THAT IF EVERYONE LIVED FOREVER WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO DIG UP BODIES AND HOPE THAT THERE ORGANS ARE STILL WORKING DON'T THINK SO!!!BESIDES IF DOES HAPPEN IT WILL BE WAY IN THE FUTURE NOT NOW AND PROBABLY NOT 5 YEARS FROM NOW SO DEAL WITH IT!

I think that's too much to hope for, but someday they might prolong life or improve the quality of it by treating conditions like phlebitis and arteriosclerosis.
