I have been diagnosed with depression by a doctor. I see him and a psychologist on a regular basis.
I would just like to get in touch with people in the same situation like myself.

online depression support groups can be very dangerous. a few of them that i know about just feed their members' depression and give a false sense that they are the solution to the problem. for this reason, some people who desperately need professional help and/or medication never seek it. a real life support group would be a much better option.

Well I think that might depend on what the depression is about. But you can e-mail me and I'll try to help on a daily basis. I have manic depression so I can relate. Unique14sure@yahoo.com

Now please rationalize to me WHY would you want to be in a chat room or group with a whole bunch of other depressed people???? NOOOO ! You are suppose to be trying to get better, not worse. Jesus...don't you think you're in enough misery as it is??? Stay away from 'depression' chat rooms and anyone else who causes you to be depressed.
