I use energizer rechargables and keep an extra pair in my camara case.

Go to Walmart and buy the 2500ma energizer recharge-ables. They are incredible!!! Take up to 320 digital camera pictures with Energizer rechargeables compared to just 80 shots with the leading alkaline battery

The higher the Mah the number of photos is increased.
Approx with 2500 Mah batteries you can take 300 pictures approx.
Nowadays Energiser And camelion seems to be better.Even more than 2600 Mah is available.

It says Energizer e2 lasts the longest ( a whole lot longer then traditional duracel or energizer) but it also covers what batteries are cheapest per shot and other info.

I use Power Ex 2700mah AA batteries with a Maha C204W charger(it's voltage compatible world wide, just need to get the correct plug adapters).

I've found that any type of Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries work for me. The higher the mAH number, the higher the capacity.
