I took my last "real" pill on the 8th, went through my normal cycle and then took a "real" pill on the 16th & 17th and then decided to stop to let my body be off for a while before I started to try to get pregnant. Yesterday and today I am noticing light bleeding and am not sure if that is normal or not.

It's absolutely fine and normal. It's just like if you were to stop your pills after the 28 days and started a period. Your body just thinks it's time to have a period. Although, it may be lighter or heavier than normal, and may take a month or two to regulate depending on your normal cycle without birth control. Also, expect heavier periods while off of the pill. I would suggest a pantyliner daily because you never know when you might have some breakthrough bleeding for awhile. Good luck on getting pregnant!

Yes it take a couple of months for your cycle to get to normal.

It's probably nothing to be concerned about...if you still have the literature that came with your pill pack, peruse that (or info online for that pill, the literature is likely there too) to see if that's a possible side effect they list...or call your doc just to put your mind at ease...
