im color blind... but i cant see red and green things from afar ... or on a white board ...........does anyone know why this is?
because other than that i can see perfectly!

There are different types and degrees of colorblindness. It has to do with either missing a particular photoreceptor for a certain wavelength altogether or having all three color detecting receptors but having the color discrimination curve shifted towards a different wavelenght of light.
This does not affect your ability to see, just your ability to discriminate between certain wavelengths (colors).
Red and Green are the most common colors that are affected by colorblindness. It is usually hereditary and passed down from your mother to a male.

I think that maybe your not completely color blind but I think you are going to be. Go see your eye doctor see what he says or she. I have a friend that is color blind and he says that all dark colors look grey to him and all light colors look almost white to him. So go see your Dr and good luck with that.
