Carpet cleaner, pet carpet cover up (like the power then vacuum) really works or just get febreeze and spray it on the carpet after you clean the soiled area and let it dry. I have a 4 1/2 yr old and had to go through that a couple of years ago. Still some accidents here and there.

you need to get some carpet cleaner with the odor trappers like you use for animal smells and treat the spots where he wets . . additionally, you need to scoot him to the potty a little more often that you may be doing so he gets used to the idea faster about sitting on it to pee . . you didn't say how old he is . . . did you use the training pants that have a wet indictator so they know they have had an accident?

My son has urinated on the carpet a few times and I've used Lysol and Febreze right away on the spots and a carpet steamer later. There's no urine smell in my house.
You might want to consider that he's just not ready for potty training yet if he's having enough accidents to cause a foul odor in his bedroom. We waited until our son was ready to aggressively potty train and he's had no real accidents since he started wearing underwear.

To get the pee out of the carpet, Resolve is the best stuff to use! Their shouldn't be ANY odor left after spraying it on, but just encase, buy some Febreeze. It removes odors fast and for good.

go to a pet store and buy a spray for pet urine smell, like Simple Solutions. It works great on all oders and is safe to use around kids and pets
