Let me say first, I'm looking for answers from Muslims . Please, all the bigots need not post nasty comments. I'm very Muslim-friendly and have a sincere question about Islam, thanx.
Okay, here's what I don't understand. From my understanding, Islam says that when people become a Muslim, they "revert" back to Islam because they were born Muslim. How can a baby be a Muslim when s/he has no idea what's going on? What does it mean to be born a Muslim? Babies don't know anything about Islam, just as they don't know about Christianity. Catholics baptize their babies, but the babies don't know what they're doing. They also believe in Original Sin, that all babies are born with a sin on their souls. Ridiculous, yes, no baby sins. Either way, whether bad or good, both Original Sin and being born Muslim don't make sense to me if a baby knows nothing.
Can anyone please explain?

If you wish to quote from the Qur'an or hadith, please write in the sura and aya so that I can read it for myself. Please copy & paste a sea of scripture, unless it's very short. I don't wanna wade through such looooong answers, thank you.

Hey, no pot shots. Anyone doing so, including the first respondant, will be reported scathingly.
