My husband and i had the same problem. I was bothered by the fact that my rings don't match until my husband explained to me that it's not the matching of the rings that make them a set it's the meanings. He told me that he picked the most beautiful engagement ring because i am the most beautiful woman and that my band is gold because yellow gold is pure just like his love for me! Now i don't mind them not looking the same because i know they're a set!

You really should tell her how you feel of you go to jamesavery.com the have bands that are white gold and yellow gold mixed so that might be a solution if not come to a compromise i know i wouldn't wear both, and you also have to keep in mind what color her other jewelry is because that's how we picked out mine.

not really sure where you got this whole "classic" "modern" thing but you should probably be updated. if she has two different color rings, it looks as if they do not belong together. and that's not good. look around and you'll probably notice that just about no one does this mismatched thing. plus she's probably a little embarrassed that the two don't match. you can always go and have the yellow band rhodium plated to look white, without having to buy another ring.

I agree with your wife as well, I think it is weird when they don't match. I don't think of white gold as modern or not, my grandmother's wedding set is white gold. White, yellow or a mix it is just a matter of personal preference. Regardless, remember she is the one who has to wear it, not you.

I would definitley suggest that the two match, unless the band has at least SOME white gold on it. Otherwise, it would look kind of funny

I'm getting married in 2 months and i don't think that gold and white gold look good together at all.. your soon to be should get the final say, she's the one wearing it. Be thankful for having her and just go with the flow.. i give you kudos for caring so much!!! good luck

I like the idea of the engagement ring and the wedding band matching - mine are both platinum. If she wants them to be the same, please do it. She's the one wearing them.

try getting a gold band with siver accents
this will tie both rings together and make them look elegant while keep ing the same traditional look. :)

I agree with your wife. A set that doesn't match just doesn't look right and actually makes the whole set look cheap.
