Tithing is extra income that the Lord has given you so that you can put it in the offering plate at the church that you go to. If you want to give something, then it is an offering. The tithing really belongs to God already. When a person tithes God blesses his finances and the rest of your money goes farther..

No, they are totally separate.
Tithes is when you give 10% of your income to your church consistently.
Offerings are the donation you put into the plate at church every time you go. Most people drop a dollar or two or their loose change.

Offering is above and beyond your tithe.
Tithe is 10% [first fruits of your labor] brought in to the local church, and is obligatory.
Offerings are made in the amount and to the place you determine, in addition to your regular tithe.

No. Offering is whatever amount you feel like giving whenever you want for the church/God. Tithing is the practise of giving 10% of your earnings (whether weekly, monthly, annually, it's up to the giver) to the church/for God.
