You CAN do this trust me. Our budget was 10,000 with a guest list of 300 and 250 showed up. So believe me you can do it and my wedding was very elegant. Here are some great tips. Can you do your own flowers? My mom made all of our flowers we just picked them out and she arranged them. My sister-in-law made our cake. The only decoration in the church was bows for the reserved seating, three large flower arrangements, and ivy hung at the back of the church around candles (we didn't light them) We were members of the church. We had friends do the directing, organ, and video so that saved some money. We had a buffet not a sit down meal. We knew our DJ.
The best tip: get people you know to help out. For 75 people that won't be too hard. Our caterer was 11.00 / plate. So that is about 825 plus tax and anything else you need to add. If you get your caterer to do the cake that cuts down so you don't have the delivery cost on the cake. I could go on and on for hours at a time on the wedding planning and tips. If you need any more information or have more questions or just want to boast about your wedding shoot me an email at glitter3317@yahoo.com

Here are some ways to stick to the budget:
Find a friend with a large backyard and have the wedding & reception there. Have some tents in case of bad weather for sure.
Have a buffet, not a full meal
Have someone make your cake - or do something a little different, like cute little cupcakes, one per guest. All homemade
Make homemade guest favours instead of buying them - get help from family & wedding party
Make your own invitations on the computer

Buy the Martha Stewart wedding planner. Get the new one. Don't buy an imitation.
Everything in there will have a time-line, you'll have a budget page and everything.
Find your dress first, that will set the theme.
With 10,000 for 75 people, hire wedding coordinator. He/she will save you enough time, hassle and aggravation to justify the money. You'll get a class event.
Wishing you a day of your dreams.... :)

That's not bad at all. You should be able to do alot of extravagant things and not worry about the budget with that much money put aside for it. I'm having a wedding with 100 guests for $1500. Good luck!!

i did the big wedding... and if i had to do it over again i wouldnt. Its so costly and we had 350 people. Your guest list is small so start out with making a list... must haves....would likes. Price out each item on those list and see what you are willing to pay and not willing to pay for. This way you can cut down your cost in some areas and be a bit more extravagant in others. Look into renting a dress rather then buying. Simple flowers are very elegant rather then the large bouquets. If i had to do it over again i would have it small and intimate. A simple sheath gown, candle light service with my soon to be hubby and a couple witnesses. Then you will have more money to spend on the reception if you would rather.

With your budget you should be able to have some extradonary items! I'm getting married this weekend, and spent about $5,500 with 250 guests.. including everything from ceremony... to a reception with meal. I used www.theknot.com and you can keep track of your budget, put in the items you want to have and costs, and so on. I used their checklist daily, and the guest list manager and gift log! It was the greatest wedding website out there! Good luck!

That's alot of money for a wedding you can do a great wedding for half of that, because you only have 75 people going. Go to the church your getting married at and ask if they have wedding coordinate rs because the usually know how to do it en expensively but elegant.

Ok just keep this in mind (I'm doing a wedding for $2500 with a guest list of 125 but I'm doing almost everything myself and I have over a year to plan) do as much as you can yourself and give yourself lots of time to do it.
