that comment about your belly exploding is a myth just like the one about breast implants. You can fly at anytime during your pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise, their just trying to be funny or scare you it's not going to happen, congrats on your baby!

I have 3 kids and flew w/ every pregnancy.
My doctor (s) told me the ONLY reason they do not recommend flying pregnant is , if premature labor begins or another type of complication , there would not be any medical assistance untill you land.
No harm can be done to the baby or mom , actually , the baby would most likley sleep much better in the womb with the plane vibrations.Thats when I felt the least movements.

I flew on a plane during my third month of pregnancy. Unless you are considered high risk, you should be OK. Be sure to check with you doctor about things you can do on the plane to combat nausea. Even if you don't have morning sickness, the plane ride can make you nauseated during the plane ride and for several days afterwards.
Drinking water and ginger ale on the plane helped me lots. It also helped to eat lots of crackers before I got on the plane. But check with you doctor to find something that will work for you.

Our doctor told us yes. The most important thing to do is to stay hydrated as this is the real danger in plane travel when you are pregnant according to our doctor. Stay hydrated and do your best to get plenty of rest before and after the plane trip as to minimize the stress incurred from the travel. Our doctor recommended against plane travel once in the third trimester of pregancy but during the first and second he said it was fine. Remember, water, water, water.

I was told I could travel up to my 7th month. A lot depends on whether the pregnancy has been reasonably trouble free.
Check first with your doctor and then with the airline you intend to travel on to see whether or not there are any restrictions.
Good luck

Ive heard its fine clear through, although airlines dont like you to when you're close to delivery.
Some doctors say the change in air pressure can cause blood clots to release and cause stroke or heart attack.
I think its bogus. Preggos fly all the time. My doc says its safe.

I flew at 38 weeks to MS from LA....and my doctor gave me the OK...by performing a test. It is quite safe in the early months of pregnancy if you are healthy.

Check with your doctor and airline.
Some airlines don't like you being onboard after a certain number of months due to the (small) chance of you having an early delivery.

I think if you have a normal pregnancy its okay to fly but try to double check it on your doctor and try to know the airlines policy on flying while pregnant because some airlines does not allow it
