Is it even possible to be a JAG reservist in all branches of the military? What is the time commitment like? How competitive is it to be selected for admission into a JAG program?

First off, pay depends on Rank and time in Service, so there is no stock answer for that part of the question. All Branches have the same basic pay structure, but there may be minor differences in bonuses that vary by Branch.

In order to DIRCOM in JAG, you must have already passed the bar and be licensed to practice. the more experience you have, the better your chances are. it is EXTREMELY comptetetive to get into JAG.

Time commitment: no longer can any Reservist depend on the 'one w/e a month, 2 weeks a year' scenario. JAGs can be and are activated for year long deployments in the litterbox as well as in other areas away from your Drill location.
