My mother died when I was little so i have been living with my 3 brothers and father since I was 3 so i never had that female role so I dont know how to change without people making fun of me? My hair is super frizzy and curly. It is dirty blonde with naturally bleach blonde streaks. And I have green eyes.

Body language is a huge part of femininity, so start by sitting up straighter with knees together or at least ankles crossed. The slumpy, slouchy wide-kneed position makes any girl look tomboyish. Tees and jeans are fine, but make them more girlish by wearing cute pastel sports shoes, body hugging t-shirts (vs. big baggy tees), and a nice necklace or bracelets. Color is of huge importance, so try to add more bright and pastel colors to your wardrobe and bedroom. Try your hair pulled tightly back in a bun or ponytail and add feminine hair clips/barrettes around the crown to keep any fly-aways controlled. Light lip gloss, a little mascara and blush goes a long way. Visit the make-up counter in a local department store (Younkers, Macy's, Neiman-Marcus) and get a free make-over. Tell them your story and that you are looking for a more feminine look. Don't be pressured to buy anything. If you like how you look, have them write down the names of the products used. Don't be afraid to tell sales clerks and/or hair stylists that you are trying to find a new look. That's what those people live for! They are there to help. As far as getting into the female mindset, don't get caught-up with the catty, bitchy image the media projects. Being a real woman has to do with communicating your feelings and being a nurturer. Women "care for" the world.....physically, mentally and emotionally. Men "protect" the world. Two very different tasks, but does not limit you to any career choice. Its just a very different attitude about everything you do and how you do it. Join a group that does volunteer work in your community to help nurture your own "nurturing"-nature. A few other pointers:
be more aware of your use of crude language and things like gobbling down food, burping and passing gas in public. Having a fun sense of humor, standing up for oneself and being physically active are all great quailities that are not "tomboyish" and should be encouraged in all people.

I was a tomboy too, and still am. But I have my feminine side and know how to take good care of myself. I assume that's what you are asking about.

Buy a good moisturizing shampoo with conditioner. Try Pantene for hydrating curls -- good on curly & wavy hair. Buy the 2 in 1 bottle that has shampoo & conditioner. Also buy a heavy conditioner (Pantene is good) to use once a week.

Moisturize your skin every day, especially after shaving. A good body moisturizer is Lubriderm.

Moisturize your face daily as well. Buy different face moisturizer -- don't use the body moisturizer on your face. A good face moisturizer is Nutregena.

Always use shaving cream when you shave -- never soap.

Use a light lip gloss to keep lips moisturized. I like Cover Girl clear gloss so there is no color.

For blonde, mascara is your friend. Apply to top lashes only. Just one coat to start.

That should do it for now :-)

The first change to make is in your clothing. My sister is a tomboy and her clothes...look like a boys. You can just put on a pair of shorts, a cute shirt, and some flip flops.

As for your hair, there are products at your local store that can help control the frizz. Try frizzeze.

If you really want to change things up, put on a little makeup. Notice the key word being LITTLE. Less is always better. Use natural tones.

Good luck to you.

If you change slowly, it will be less of a fashion shock for them. Check out magazines. See what you like. Check out things your peers are wearing, see what you think is you. Super frizzy, curly hair is usually easier to take care of when it is shorter. Also, there are lots of products on the market to help tame those curls. Go to a salon, an inexpensive chain like Haircuttery is fine because usually there are young people working there. Check out the hairstyle magazines while you wait. Talk to them to figure out together what would be the best look for you. Best wishes and I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother.

Friend, I wonder why you want to change? Is it internally driven (you are growing older?) or externally (to meet the expectations of others). Either way, I wouldn't try a sudden, drastic, change. I would try small changes first. For example, you might get your ears pierced, or start wearing a small amount of jewelry. If you usually wear jeans you might try a denim skirt (they have ones with really cute leggins underneath) or a feminine belt. Oh, and I wouldn't dye your hair, but you might try using some different hair products. If you don't have a female figure to ask, I would go to walgreens and ask the lady at the make-up counter. Good luck.

Just be yourself. Being a tomboy is not a bad thing.

I grew up with sisters, but I always did what boys do - it seems more fun to me. Now, I have mostly female traits, but I still do things males do. Like painting the house, building furniture etc. Those things do not take away from my femininity and I get lots of compliments for the things I do.

Go to the beauty parlor and have them style your hair and put on make up. Next, get a feminine attire. If you don't feel comfortable that way, just be yourself.

This world is filled with a variety of human characteristics that's what makes us unique and interesting.

Make simple changes such as getting frizz ease to tame your frizz or if you want a totally different look have one of your girl friends help you straighten your hair. Next, work on your wardrobe. You don't have to wear dresses everyday but how about a cute khaki or jean skirt with some cute shoes to help soften your tomboy image. If skirts aren't your thing then a nice pair of jeans or black dress pants with a cute top will make a vast difference. In all things remember: Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize!

Well if you are still growing up you could be in just a stage were your not ready to dress "girly" Remember from highschool I recall a ton of tomboys coming back from summer vaction with skirts and tanktops, it was hot! HAHA. Anyways, you could always try buying a bunch of girl clothes and going out for a night on the town with your friend. See how it feels.

HI
First of all its quite obvious that with all boys in the family, its more likely that you take up their style and habbits..
But let me try and help you..........
Be patient and start it slowly.Try a new girl-like hair cut first.
Then after a few days start wearing some girl-like clothes..Then slowly move on to make friendship with girls and take part in their gossips and discussions..you will surely find out that your emotions match a lot with their`s..
so just be happy and make your life more colourful.Just the way you want to.(within no time you can find a nice boy friend too!!!!!!!!!!)
I hope i could help u

well you sound like you have natural beauty.
well first off use some products to make your hair unfrizzy.
But then just start off slow.
one day where a pink tank top... then like a sparkly belt... then start wearing more girly tops but not too girly because that would be a really drastic change... over time start wearing flip flops...and a skirt. if you change slowly i think people will realize you really want to change. Because if you just go from one day wearing like sweats and then the next skirt and tubetop than people will think that you might be posing.

You could start by going to a good hairdresser getting some cut and colour into your hair. Then you could ask for tips for how to control the frizz (John Frieda products are good and available at most drugstores), and how to style your hair - some hairstyles are flexible straight or curly.
You could buy yourself some girly shoes and handbags, and also clothes, and start experimenting with makeup and jewellery. Good luck!
