A sin is something that is against God. In the bible it states all the things that God considers a sin. I am so sure because it states in the book of John that " In the there was the word and the word was with God and the Word was God"

Sins are violations of God's laws and morality. The Bible says that all sins are equal in God's eyes, so lying to your parents is the same as murder to God - he just can't look on any sin period. But sins have different consequences for us in this world. Basically, sins are things like jealousy, hatred, denying God, hurting other people, not taking care of the gifts God has given us.

Well in my opinion a sin is everything that you do or act against your conscience. What is conscience for me, I will said is part of my mind which is fill with all the knowledge of live that I had in my past; Love and care of relative, friends, school, and most of all the religion that my family had gave me. I always think you should never do anything that you would not like other do to you.

I don't believe in sin...religiious definitions of what is right and wrong. I do believe in the LAW and there are myriad laws governing myriad issue(s). The main reasoning behind not believing in sin is that many take a person's sexuality and make it sinful to LOVE intragender (homo)...many take thoughts that are "impure" and label them as sinful. I don't care much for anyone controlling what I do in my bedroom or in my mind. SECULAR law is more practical (though the whole Gay rights thing is stupid)...PEACE!

Titus 3 says we who are foolish, disobedient, deceiving, lustful, living in malice and envy, hateful

The opposite of sin, things which Christ wants us to meditate on comes from Philippians 4 things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, are of good report, if there be any virtue, praise, think on these things.

Galatians 5 lists sins........ envy, murders, drunkeness, revellings, fornication, adultry, uncleanness, laciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies.....

Romans 2 lists.......backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents

The root of all sin is "I" or selfishness.

That is why Jesus said that the greatest commandment is that we should love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind, and that the second greatest commandment is that we should love our neighbor as ourselves.

The whole Bible is one giant love story. God loves us desperately. And He wants us to love each other the same way that He loves us.

Hi!

Sin is simply NOT doing the will of God.

Again, sin is the transgression of God's commandments.

Also it is anything that is not made in faith in God.

Hug!

That's a list that can go on for ages, lust, murder, envy, gossip, stealing, and even thinking about it you have already committed the sin even if you didn't act on it. Isn't that scary
