Absolutely !! I can only see it now that I have kids of mine own...My parents were totally right !! I should have listened to them and come home on time and not lied about EVERYTHING..and especially gone to college !! I wouldn't be sitting here now, in tears, wondering how I'm gonna pay my mortgage and buy diapers and food !!!...Kids LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS >>THEY ARE SMARTER THAN YOU THINK AND NO YOU DON"T KNOW EVERYTHING !!!!!!!!! :)

No, in fact I would ask mine why they didn't treat ME with more respect.

Both my parents had reached a point where they didn't even like each other, so why they had me so late in their lives is something I doubt they would/could even answer (mom was 44 and daddy was 52).

I grew up knowing I was an 'accident', the last of four children, and I paid for their mistake. No child should have to start life like that.

Which is exactly why I hope my adopted children will not carry a similar feeling, even though they were 'adopted' and know that someone 'gave them away'. Every day I do my best to make them know they do matter.

Lets see, just because they are your parents doesn't mean they don't have to earn respect. I think if I could go back I would have respected my father alot better, but not my mom. My mom made a lot of bad decisions after my parents divorced and it effected their kids. I love my mom, and always have but She lost my respect a long time ago.

going back in time to change something including this you never know what the complete out come will be. maybe if i had respected my parents more and got my butt beat less i would be a different person than i am today , but at the same time some of the people in my life i may not have met or had the children i had.
i wouldnt want to give any of them up at all . i didnt really disrespect my parents growing up , but as most kids do i tested their limits. i think alot of people who are now adults would have taken things much further now they know the limits were actually further than we all thought as kids, especially knowing that they were not allowed to kill us which we all thought growing up when we would sneak to do something .
i think if anything i would have said I LOVE YOU more than i did .

I would treat them with more respect, but it's also a catch 22 because the only reason I am able to treat them with so much more respect now is because I was disrespectful in the past. I think they understand this and forgive me.

Good question. Yes, I would. Hindsight is 20/20. I would have tried to understand where they were coming from instead of getting mad at them all the time. It's so hard to put yourself in their shoes when you are younger. It's only in the past few years a little bit before I got married that I really , really fully appreciate them for everything they have done for me. I would have definitely found a better way to get my point across to them and make them understand my point of view without fussing and fighting.

If i would have a ticket to go back in time i definately would have done more to keep my parents together and made my parents proud of me specially my Dad although he abused me i forgive him for what he has done but i would have a better life even if i was abused countless of times by my dad doing so i would accept it and love him cause he is my father.

I have much respect for my parents back then, i have greater respect for them now. If I would go back in time, i will say I LOVE YOU and THANKS more often. My only regret after my father died is i did not tell him that more often. My only consolation is at least I showed him how much I love him. I'm a daddy's girl. Now i tell my mom I LOVE YOU every chance i get, which is often.

I would never go back in time. I hated being a kid. My parents were strict. If I had to go back, I'd be more difficult. I don't think they realize what most parents put up with.

Probably, yes. Like for me, I do'nt have my mother anymore,if I just could go back in time, I would give her the most of love I had to give. Like taking care of her and respect more than I do.

I would have given more respect, I remember telling my mom not to worry about me, I would be fine no matter what. Now being a parent myself, don't worry, are you crazy? You can't help but worry.
