It's 5:00am, you stop at star bucks, you gave an unnecessary tip to the fuzzy haired kid behind the counter. After prepping your coffee, you hop in your car for your commute. While enjoying your coffee you look down and notice that there is a hair sticking out of the hole in the lid where you drink from. At first, no big deal, a hair must have landed there, but as you pull it, you find that it is attached to the cup and now that you are half way finished with your cup of coffee you realize it has been there the entire time. So you remove the lid and carefully remove the hair from your cup. Now, do you finish drinking your coffee, or do you give up and throw it away?

the temp of the coffee kills any germs...drink it and move on, you inhale and ingest worse over the course of a day...you just don't konw it

First thing, I am Not drinking that coffee. Yuck!! Who knows what is on that hair. Second thing, I will be calling Starbucks w/ my receipt in hand & giving them the proper info. on what Starbucks, what time & telling them what happened. That is totally nasty & unsat! Heck, that cup of coffee wasn't free & why shouldn't you be reimbursed if you didn't drink it. Starbucks needs to know about this & who knows who it might have happened to before. Next time, if you use that Starbucks, I would go in & watch them make it. My take on it, throw it away!

I think this is one of those situations where I would probably act on the spur of the moment. Not going to give this a lot of thought or worry, it would either be out the window or I'd drink it and forget about it.

I would give up and throw it away. I would also hope the person washed their hair before work. Maybe with a strawberry scented shampoo.

i had a similar experience while enjoying a steak in las vegas recently . I made a pretty big issue out of it ............i took a complaint form , got everyone's info , dated it , and i plan to send the complaint form to the casino's corporate offices . the waitress said it was nothing , and the food and beverage manager apologized , and offered a replacement meal ...........but at that point i couldn't eat . i plan to have my next meal there on the house .

Personally I would throw it out, I can't stand to find hair in anything especially if its not mine.

Throw it out. It has bacteria in it and on it & you've been drinking it.
