I personally believe that Mary used the "virgin birth" story as a cover-up that she was having pre-martial sex. Good cover-up, no one can ever use that one again and actually be believed. Wow, people really were stupid back then. We have the technology to prove anyone claiming that again wrong. Haha if there really is a god up there he's probably pissed at her for making up that story, and even more pissed at everyone else for believing it.

As the welfare system did not exist in 4BC, its kind of a pointless question.
Besides, she married and had a husband with a good business to support her and the child. His name was Joseph.
Plus, at the time of His birth, Jesus was visited by several kings who left gifts for him that were sufficient to cover the families' living expenses for the next five years while they were in Egypt, and establish a business once they returned to Nazareth.

Why not they let worse stories than that go through. I am not sure who the father is, It could be one of 1000 guys. Okay approved. Your mom or dad need welfare? We can get them on too. Tell them to quit there job, and we will support them too, cousins?

Actually, the immaculate conception refers to Mary's own conception, not Jesus (she was born without sin so she was able to give a virgin birth, blah blah blah). This is all assuming you believe this crap though...
Churches take handouts all the time, why not Mary?
