The Protestant Reformers perfected the propaganda technique with that myth about the Catholic Church which still carries on today as a popular misconception.

Here is an article by The National Review. For the closed-minded bigots who will respond to this, this article was not written by the Catholic Church, it was written by The National Review.

I saw about this a few years ago on an educational channel.

Yeah, you are right. The inquisition happened - but no where near as terrible as it is portrayed. The clergy of the time just had no idea how to handle the printing press in the hands of those liers. And now there lies are accepted as facts.

In time hopefully more and more people will learn the truth of this.

Saint Louis University is a Jesuit, Catholic university.

So I wonder what he would say. One History teacher with an agenda does not overrule the others who teach the truth.

Second

Did you know that the Pope says it did happen? He even apologized for it.

According to the article, the documents used were supplied by the Vatican. The Vatican has a stake in this, so of course their documents would favor their opinion.

You are also a close-minded bigot because you won't accept evidence showing the harsh techniques used.

Did you know that some people believe anything they read online?

The Inquisition is well documented by many sources in many countries. It is real.

Did you know that our current pope was the head of the office of the Inquisition before he became the pope?

History militates against your claim. One of the reason why Christopher Columbus was arrested and denied the honor he deserved for the discovering of the New Wold because in even that he was born in Italy, he was half Spaniard and half Jew.
