My mate goes out on a Saturday night/early Sunday morning and gets totally drunk, then he drives to work early Monday morning.
I think he is still drink driving is he over the limit.

Alcohol is metabolized at one ounce per hour....If you friend consumed 12 drinks it would take 12 hours.....

You can get a ticket for DWI buy drinking just one drink and driving..morning after tickets are the worst but can happen..wait at least an hour per drink before driving if you want to be safe.

Figure about 1 drink per hour. For every drink that you have it raises your BAC (blood alcohol content) about .02. so here in the US, 4 drinks would put us at the legal limit to drive.

It's mostly based on body weight and time.
In the states, we consider 1 drink,beer,glass of wine per hour to be acceptable. Any more than that and the body cannot metabolize the alcohol quickly enough to be clear.
If your mate is getting hammered and not getting 1 hour per drink is still impaired.

general rule: 1 hour to process each drink
so, if you have 5 drinks, it will take 5 hours to get out of the system

according to the drug and alchol class I took it takes one and a half hours for the body to go though a drink ( 1 twelve oz beer, 4 oz of wine, 1 shot of liquir) so be very careful...

I believe it depends on how much u weigh, and what the alcohol was and even how much u ate to absorb some of the alcohol.
