Hi! When I was in England getting my MA, I had 2 posters up in my room of paintings. During the hectic leaving process, I left them behind & forgot to look to see who painted them. So, here are my discriptions if anyone thinks they recognize the paintings & know the painters' names, please let me know. I realize this is a long shot.... but....
1) a naked man sitting in profile, hunched over his knees (u can not see his face or anything xrated) sitting on a rock in the middle of an ocean or lake...
2) 2 women the 1st woman is facing forward, wearing somekind of turban looking head covering & has spectacular green eyes She looks like "she knows something that perhaps the other woman does not..." The second woman is crying & is leaning on the first woman for support.
It's not much.... but any leads might be helpful!!
Thanks for your help!!

ABACUS: Thank you. 1) No, it is not a photo of the thinker. While the thinker is sitting more on a stump or something this young man is sitting more on a flat rock. His legs are pulled up & he is resting his arms & head on his knees. We see him in profile.
2) I went & looked at the 2 women picture you suggested. Unfortunatly it is not the one I am looking for. The colors are more vibrant, the women younger & it always had a more middle eastern feel to it for me. The most striking part for me were the vibrant green eyes of the woman facing forward.
THANKS ANYWAY!! :>)

Joyful paints: THANKS for the thought... I did go & look but most of their covers look like photographs. These were both prints of (oil??) paintings. :>)

Mashmagazine: Hi! Thanks to you as well!
I remember that photo now from Nat. Geo. Very different. Let's see how my memory goes. Not surreal more like European-Art61.jpg if you search yahoo images. (not exactly same style but more "realistic" than surreal)
They were inside, very "close" to the front of the picture. The background was darker my faded impression is more like a lush bedroom than a common area.
Talk about needle in a haystack! Thanks again for even taking a moment of your time to try & help me puzzle this out!! Cheers!
