They were brave beyond compare. Their lives were in constant danger for their beliefs.
And what an honor to have known Peter, Paul, James, Phillip, and the rest.

This website is bogus as it claims that the early church father's had direct communication with the Apostles. The Catholic church did not come into existence until 300 years AFTER the Apostles walked the earth.
There are instances of the Catholic church stating that they walked and talked with the apostles - but there is much more evidence, even quotes from the Catholic church herself, that state that this is false.
By the way - how could the early church leaders be the Apostles when the Catholic church wasn't even in existence until 300 years later? Seems kind of silly, doesn't it?

There was a lot of infighting among the original apostles as to who should control the church. Peter believed he should be, while James the Elder believed he should. James ended up as the leader of the church in Jerusalem, while as we all know, Peter went to Rome. As the apostles fanned out, their teachings were often slightly different interpretations of Jesus' teachings. That's why we get differing versions of events in the gospels. Most were not written directly by the apostles themselves, though. They were put to paper much later as the gospel "according to" that apostle. It was not considered plagiarism, since their followers were writing down what they learned from that apostle.
I think Paul tried to get away from the original teachings a little too much, though. James, especially, treated Christianity as a sect of Judaism, while Paul believed in taking it to the masses and making it more palatable by saying you don't really have to follow all the practices of Judaism to be a Christian, even though Jesus was Jewish and followed them.

Fellow Christians, just to have you know,I recently read the Talmud (Jewish Holy Book) I realised Judaism does not know Jesus Christ. Judaism hates Jesus Christ. They consider him the anit-Christ and they are waiting for their Messaih, however,Islam recognises Jesus as a phrophet and believe in all His miracles, the Virgin Mary is a sacred Virgin in Islam, while the jews consider Jesus to be a bastard,I was shocked by the comparison,Christianity is Closer to Islam, many verses in the Koran praises Jesus and the Virgin Mary, the jews, however, are considered "traitors" to the prophets and they are no longer the chosen ones, true followers of the Holy book of Islam have to respect Jesus, the Virgin Mary and Christianity because Jesus is considered to be one of the Holiest prophets of all time,Mohammed preached that to his followers, the more i read, the more i discovered the strong similarity of the three Holy Religions, there are verses in the Koran explaining how the jews tortured Jesus. Few people know this because they do not carefully read their Scriptures and because of the great pains which Jews have taken to deceive the Christians. What would Jesus do if He knew about Isreal? They are waiting for their so called "Messaih".....................

I think it's good to read church fathers and glean from their teaching. However, we need to remember only the books of the cannon are God's Word.

yes, each of them wrote to Paul asking all sorts of questions about how to handle their congregation.
They sure had it rough lol. All the backbiting, contention, trying to make Christianity into mini-Judaism, trying to pare down the words of Jesus, etc.

truthfully the early "church" won instructions for the Passover. Exo 12:6 And ye shall carry on with it till the fourteenth day of a similar month: and the completed assembly of the congregation (church) of Israel shall kill it in the nighttime. Lev 23:5 in the fourteenth day of the 1st month at even is the Lord's passover. The Apostle Paul instructs the disciples to "shop the ceremonial dinner" of Passover and Unleavened Bread. a million Cor 5:8 subsequently enable us to maintain the ceremonial dinner, not with previous leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; yet with the unleavened bread of sincerity and fact. re: offended Jew Passover observance isn't for Judah (Jews) in elementary terms. It grew to become into given to the little ones of Israel, all twelve tribes and to the proselyte (Stranger / gentile observing the Torah). Exo 12:40 seven all the congregation of Israel shall shop it. Exo 12:40 8 And whilst a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and could shop the passover to the LORD, enable all his men be circumcised, and then enable him come close to and shop it; and he would be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised individual shall eat thereof. Exo 12:40 9 One regulation would be to him it fairly is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth between you. notice verse 12:40 9 states there is ONE regulation for the homeborn and for the stranger. the little ones of Israel have been commanded to love the stranger as one born between them. Lev 19:34 however the stranger that dwelleth with you would be unto you as one born between you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye have been strangers in the land of Egypt: i'm the LORD your God. the reason the "Jews" have predominately saved the Feasts and the Torah grew to become into as a results of promise to the dedicated King David. In Genesis Jacob foretells that Judah might keep "the regulation". Gen 40 9:9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou artwork long gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an previous lion; who shall rouse him up? Gen 40 9:10 The sceptre shall not leave from Judah, nor a > lawgiver < from between his ft, till Shiloh come; and unto him shall the accumulating of the individuals be. God isn't partial. Deu a million:17 'You shall not tutor partiality in judgment; you shall pay attention the small and the great alike. You shall not concern guy, for the judgment is God's. ... Deu 10:17 "For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the amazing, and the wonderful God who would not tutor partiality, nor take a bribe.
