use balsa wood, its superlight and super strong, for the body or duralium, if you are sure not to over stress the aircraft during flight, then go for aluminium. use lawn mover motor for the engine or a 50cc - 100cc internal combustion engine, consuming petrol(gasoline) as fuel. DO NOT go for electric / battery operated motors/engines, as it will decrease the payload. Going for a large wing span will increase the safety during engine failure, as it can easily glide down, but can easily be flown off-course with a small gust of wind.
