Why can a woman flash her breasts around and its ok, but a woman feeding her child is considered disgusting?

I just have always been curious. I mean we always talk about moral and immoral. Its more likely a woman could flash her breasts down a street, in front of little eyes and get the thumbs up from adults. If a woman is feeding her child, she must go into a bathroom and be covered head to toe? Do we like to eat in the bathroom? No we don't.
I have two children, and no I didn't breast feed, but I have no problem with it.

Well, I know its illegal for a woman to flash her breasts around, but you can nearly have them hanging out of a blouse or a teeny bikini...........

well. i am from japan and people are less noticable as to what people see and what people dont see. but i fail to see what is wrong with it too. women can expose for kicks but cant to feed a hungry child does seem wrong. im sure society wouldnt want to eat in the bathroom and they shouldnt force infants to do it either. no offence, but americans need better morals and boundaries.

There is no problem with breast feeding, but I don't think it's something that a woman should do in a restaurant at the table. Not saying that it is not okay in public, but it's akward for the server to go over and talk to a woman who has a baby hanging from her breast, and you have to think about the other people in the restaurant that are trying to eat.

I love that you put two and two together and realized it makes 5. my husband will gripe for at least 20 minutes if he see a woman breast feeding her child out in public, sometimes you can't even see any skin. but his favorite story to tell is when we was riding his scooter down the street and a girl on the back of another bike flashed him her breasts. it is all a matter of opinoin. and unfortunatley the people with the most disrespectful opinoin will alwasy be the loudest person in the room.

Women can NOT flash their breasts around, they can get arrested for indecent exposure.

And women breast feeding is NOT disgusting, it is just a very personal and private moment that makes some people uncomfortable. I have seen women do this in public and it can be done without exposing the breast, completely.

Good question.. If you have ever seen the Jerry Springer show--they get beads for flashing their boobs--most woman do that..and people think that's OK?? I see nothing wrong with a woman breast feeding her baby..if people take offense--look the other way...American people need to have better morals...

In the US a woman can breast feed anywhere she would like. There are no laws against it. It is a hang-up with some people, but they need to get over it.

i have a problem with women flashing their boobs but NOT with breastfeeding ~ i do know of some public places that have had rooms set aside for such things (as people will still gawk like they havent seen boobs before) but these are too few and far bewtween oh and they werent bathrooms but actual rooms

breast feeding is not only natural but provides a child with the best possible start it can have in life (providing mom is healthy and watching what she eats/drinks)

best we can do is compromise and hope they will set aside a room (NOT a bathroom either) so women can breastfeed or all else i can suggest is pumping milk before you go out

I agree that it is dumb. Guys leer at a girl's breats if they are in a bikini ot low cut top, but put the breasts to their functional purpose (feeding babies, not entertaining men!) and that's a problem.
I think women should be able to feed their babies wherever and whenever necessary, but they should be discreet (which all the women I have seen are).

yes, I know. i think it is just because the women are embarresedc to breast feed in public, i don't think there is a law against it and it is just something you have to do for your baby. However, flashing in public is illegal and can be found offensive.

honestly.. flashing is not considered to be OK.. its gross n not everyone agrees with it.. some ppl do give the thumbs up becuz they could care less.. but think about it.. flashing isnt the right thing to do.. breast feeding is a natural thing tho.. its up 2 the women if she cares about doing it in public or not.. does she want ppl to see her that way? its up 2 the women honestly...
