Yes we only see three primary colors, red blue and yellow.

It would make sense since you see high end movie projectors have three lenses projecting different light. Maybe that is just a coincidence though.

yes. our eyes only have receptors for red, green and blue. everything else we see are combinations of the three put together the right way by your brain.
