I'm pretty new to this site so I might be judging to soon, but at the looks of this particular section, there's a lot of racism going on. I read some of the questions and answers here and I can't believe there's actually people out there saying what they say. They say all this garbage on how "we should shoot all mexicans," "mexicans are dirty, filthy animals," "immigrants need to get the hell out of this country" "immigrants need to learn english" and a whole lot more. It's ok to be against illegal immigration, but to against it in that way is just plain stupid. If I didn't know better, I'd think you people were describing savages, or monsters. Illegal or not, everybody's exactly the same under God's eyes and he doesn't give a damn whether you're legal or not.

As for the whole "they don't speak english" Exactly how many "illegals" have you met? When my family and I came to this country, we definitely took the time to learn the language. And to say they all disrespect this country and are trying to destroy is a load of bull$hit and you ****** know it. I respect this country just like all you "friendly" americans do, and I'm definitely not trying to destroy something I want, because that doesn't make any sense.
Some of you are probably rolling your eyes at this but one day you're going to say something stupid in front of the wrong person.
Some of you need to grow up, and stop judging people so quickly because you're not making your "anti illegal buddies" look good, you're just making them look more like racists.

Frankie, I'm deeply offended that you said that! Just because I drink all your vodka and beat up little kids doesn't mean I can't try to be intelligent and express my feelings in what you call an "eloquent" way. I'm not some hoodlum on the street that can't speak english with proper grammar! So take in this moment homie, because I'm not doing this again anytime soon!

Why do I bother? People like "akablackbetty" can't seem to open up their minds a little bit, people who I'm talking about right now.

No Sweetie, you're right! There are a lot of racist people on here. But there are also a lot of good people on here as well. Unfortunately, there is really nothing you can do when it comes to the backwards way many people think. No matter how ignorant, racist or foolish the opinions are of many people on here are, they still have the right to them. I really believe that ignorance and racism is nothing more then fear. I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again. People fear what they don't know. Though I do believe that people need to come into the United States legally, I certainly don't believe that every Mexican immigrate is filthy and worthless. I believe many of them simply don't know the proper way of going about coming into the country legally, and though that isn't an excuse, calling them horrible names is not right either.
You're not going to change people like this, so don't put a lot of time into trying. I'm just glad that there is someone else like you on here that can see the good in others, regardless of their skin color or nationality. Everyone should be able to do that, but sadly, everyone doesn't.

I agree with your assessment. This type of talk is occurring all around the US right now. I believe that Americans lack the basic concept on how their ancestors arrived in this country. I also want to know what happened to the “all men are created equal” part of the Declaration of Independence. That does not say, “All AMERICANS are created equal.”
Those of us born in the United States should consider ourselves very lucky. Our great country is one the few that attracts immigrants from across the globe. The attraction is our form of government and the freedoms that brings with it.
The other side of the immigration issue presents problems as well. Having millions of illegal immigrants in the country has good points and bad points. There is never a reason for using racist language in order to get the immigration issue under control. The US simply cannot afford to support citizens from other countries that are here illegally. The many sides of this issue, in regards to how to handle the immigrants already here, is going to entail a lot of debate and even more compromising from all parties.
Unfortunately, extreme cases exist that over-amplify the views of those involved in these issues. Do you send a 25-year-old mother back to Guatemala because she is here illegally? If that mother had a baby while living in the US, her baby is a US citizen. Would you have that baby grow up without a mother? Then you have the illegal aliens that abuse our welfare system, just as many Americans abuse it. Some illegal aliens committed heinous crimes in their country and came to America to hide from the law of their country. Some come here and commit felonies. Do we want more people that are violent in our country? Would it be better to deport them? What about their families that came with them? Would you handle felons had kids while in the US and differently?
I touched on only a few of the endless scenarios possible. I do not believe that an easy answer exists. I cannot see a law that adequately addresses all of the variables getting through both sides of congress and then receiving the president’s signature. This is an issue that the grandkids of the today’s kindergarten children will grapple with and possibly resolve. I doubt I see a logical and fair resolution in my lifetime.
Good luck!!

Your right people are getting pretty racist when it comes to this subject. Everyone should look at their children and think if I only got paid $20 a week and had children and parents to feed and clothe and we all know you can't do that on $20 what would I do risk my life crossing the border to have a good job leave my family not see my kids grow up or stay her keep working for the $20 and let them starve. So peolpe just don't get hispanic there not like us they have strong family ties they care about their familys not like us americans who just throw the old in nursing home to die and never visit them. Anyway that's not the subject I could go on for days about this. And no they can't just come here legally my fiance's aunt went to immigration in mexico to ask for a tourist visa and they didn't even take her application just denied her.
So next time you all say there taking our jobs tell those bums who live on welfare to get off their *** and do the jobs mexicans are doing for us. Cause it isn't thier fault we can't find work we all just lazy and want to get paid millions for sitting own our asses.

there is a growing movement of racist attitudes towards illegals......
some ignorant people who do not have the ability to think critically on their own are being told the illegal immigrants are the cause of all of our troubles.... many of us can figure out that this is not the case.... it is just a distraction..... from the real issues affecting America..... illegal immigration is only a problem in America when "we" want to make it a problem....
and you are right when you say that we are the same under God....
but it ironic to hear so-called Christians saying that illegals are less than human because they have broken man's laws..... wanting a better life and the ability to feed your children should never be against any law.... God's or mans

Well as i see it the key term here is "Illegal". How do these people expect us to open our arms to people who have already broken the laws of our country by coming here Illegally. When my grandfather came here from Italy, he came thru the right channels, he learned the language because it was the right thing to do, you wouldn't expect to move to another country and not learn the language, Its a key roll of any immigrant to learn the language of any country they emmigrate to. My grandfather worked hard, was a law abiding citizen and he eventually became a citizen. He was very patriotic, because he said he Chose to move here, for the well being of his family, he knew he could make a better life for them. I have no problem with "ANYONE" immigrating here, but please do it the right way, work hard and learn the Language.... I think thats a small price to pay for living in this great country of ours.

What's racist about kicking ILLEGAL aliens out of our country?
They can do the same as LEGAL immigrants and go thru the
INS and acquire the proper paperwork and become American citizens the LEGAL way and that would solve the whole immigration problem.

Your right I've seen it also. There is no reason for language and the mentality here but you just have to consider them narrow minded and move on. There are people here who can't see past the anger and hatred for those less fortunate. I see every living human being as a human and therefore should be addressed as such. PEOPLE THESE ARE HUMANS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
